"No words can describe the joy I felt when I first woke up," says Lillian Su'a. The 55-year-old Samoan woman is New Zealand's final COVID patient to recover. In an interview with Andrew Urquhart she talks about her trust in God as she battled for her life for over a month in ICU.

Su'a went into hospital shortly after both her and her husband tested positive for the virus. Weeks later her family were told to prepare their goodbyes. Instead they prayed.

Now Su'a gives God all the glory for her miraculous recovery, saying the time she spent battling the virus was a reminder of God's comfort and grace. She hopes her amazing story can be testimony to others.

Su'a is preparing to celebrate a wedding anniversary with her husband Tofiga on the 15th of June and what better anniversary gift than to be together again.
